Hey Tim,
Karma eh? How about if we mentor each other?
And your co Bulldog Sol'ns is great! The webinars have been very helpful! I'm glad that you have the opportunity to work remotely too. We can compare notes on the speed bumps. :) Enjoy your journey!

David,
You ARE a natural! Let's keep asking questions & we'll get somewhere. :) And yes the lake is part of the joy of working remotely.

For me it was a natural progression into social media, when I first started tweaking web sites for optimized results on Google. A big plus is Im all passionate about technology and I bet I can do this for the rest of my life.

Woah... the lake view looks FANTASTIC...sure beats the skyscrapers I see everyday! Nothing beats creation.

Keep it up, Connie, and you're going to become my e-mentor. :-)

I've been working remotely/from home since late August. I was looking for a new job after 8 years at National Instruments because my wife and I decided it was time to relocate from Austin to Ohio to be closer to her family. I was wildly fortunate to hook up with Bulldog Solutions, in that they were willing to have me work remotely and commute back to Austin once/month. I spent the summer on-site and then moved in August.

It's definitely been an adjustment on many fronts, but I have the added benefit of working at a company that is embracing Web 2.0 on every front. So, for instance, I know that my boss, who was traveling in from Belgium, arrived in town sick and (hopefully) will feel better soon. I know our HR manager took a trip up to Dallas this weekend. So, online media is helping with the "social" aspects of the work environment. At the same time, we're working to use social media for Marketing.

Your musings in this post really resonated with me. An "incredible adventure" indeed!
