With the end of 2007 it’s time to wrap up my first year of blogging & social media. My post Milestones, Momentum & Social Media covers from January to mid October. And to round out the year I want to highlight the amazing people that I’ve come to know. Many of them have mega-networks. How they distribute their time & energy amongst their community is incredible to be a part of. And this is a small way to say thanks to them as well as document the highlights of the last few months.

On Sunday, Jeremiah Owyang, Sr. Analyst at Forrester & Web Strategist posted the video he took in Seattle at the Web Community Forum. His trademark technique with his video camera is amazing! Jeremiah’s blog is an incredible resource & I’ve met many friends there amidst commenting. I appreciate the opportunity of co-moderating his Community Manager Facebook group. It’s another excellent place of discussion.

His comment on Twitter was too kind! Thanks Jeremiah for the wealth of knowledge you impart to all of us! I’m working on a new project that should expand the resources available to Community Management/Building – stay tuned!

Geoff Livingston featured me on one of his Thursday Buzz Bin Interviews. I shared many of the tools that I use. Thank you Geoff for the focus on my efforts in building community. And if you haven’t read Geoff Livingston’s book, Now is Gone. It’s awesome! It was co-authored by Brian Solis. It’s filled with lots of practical information.

Lee Hopkins is my mate from down under. He’s quite the character & creatively put me into the ACDSee brand. (It gives new meaning to people googling for ‘ACDSee Connie’). Thanks Lee for the shout out! and for evaluating ACDSee Pro 2. Travel is my dream & Australia is on my list – so you’re forewarned!  :)

Everyone knows that Chris Brogan is one of the most generous people in blogging land. His Tweets are thought provoking & his style is to ask ‘What can I do for you’? Chris did a post on personal branding & mentioned various people.

Start sharing your ideas. Write from the heart. Speak from the heart. Show people where your passions lie. Help others solve their problems. Listen to what others say and instead of saying, “Yeah! Me too,” try saying back something of added value. Comment all over the place and give people a sense of who YOU are.

Superstar in this department lately: Connie Bensen. She’s really lit up the scene fast, and is definitely someone with good opinions and ideas.

Thanks so much Chris for ALL the insight you provide to us. You have such a gift of communicating it. I’ve been learning so much from people’s blogs & being involved in the blogging community!

And last, but not least, the people at Web Community Forum need a HUGE thank you! I was totally floored to see my name amongst these great people on this list of Voices for community building last fall. In December I had the opportunity to meet Jake McKee, Jeremy Pepper, Nick O’Neill & Jeremiah in person when I spoke at the Web Community Forum event in Seattle. It was an incredible experience & I appreciate Teresa, Jason, Steve & Kim’s efforts in putting on a top notch event! I met new friends there & those friendships have continued online.

And a review of 2007 wouldn’t be complete without mention of all the amazing people in my network! All of you provide your own unique flavor to the mix & I’m so appreciative to have crossed paths with you! Here’s to 2008!
