La Voz de la Communidad

‘La Voz’ is ‘Voice’ in Spanish. In a previous life I taught high school Spanish for 5 years. I have seen my writing translated into German & French, but this is the first Spanish version.

It’s beautiful (and gives me shivers)! Thank you to Juan Carlos of Peru for putting my voice in Spanish on his blog!

Connie Bensen, estratega de comunidades, explica simple y concretamente: "A community manager is the voice of the company externally and the voice of the customers internally".

On Thursday & Friday I’m looking forward to meeting my colleagues at the Alterian offices in Chicago!

We’re putting together a meetup so if you’re in the Chicago area stay tuned. We’ve already started putting something together on Twitter.

I’m very much looking forward to meeting my friends Emil Wisch & Mark Carter as well as Ross and his CrowdSpring team. It should be fun!

It seems like I do career counseling everywhere I go, so don’t be shy if you’re interested in being a community manager or working in social media. I always enjoy meeting new people!

Minnesota Jobs in Social Media

Looking for a job? You could come up here & live near me.

DigiKey is looking for an Internet Marketing/e-Commerce Manager. And they are also looking for a couple of Web Analytics specialists and programmers. It’s great living up here & our population density is at 3 (or so my boss tells me!). Actually DigiKey employs 1900 employees!

And Brian at PartnerUp has a number of jobs. Our paths crossed on Twitter on Sunday & we had a good chat! He also has a Social Media Strategist position open.

And this job isn’t in MN, it was sent to me in Facebook & is in the UK – Director of Online Community Dev’t

It’s great to see companies adding HUMAN resources to their internet presences!
